About me

I am a professor of Dermatology at the second affiliated hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (2020~). I am the member in immunology branch of Chinese Society of Investigative Dermatology(CSD) and China Association of Chinese Medicine(CACM) from 2018 to 2022. I trained in dermatology and clinical science in Xi’an Jiaotong university (2002-2007), and work as a visiting scholar in UCSF (2016-2017).

Academically, I tend to explore in multiple directions, focused on the Wnt signal transduction pathway in pathogenesis of psoriasis and skin cancer. Other domains including: effect of cosmetics on skin barrier, clinical big data analysis, real-world evidence study of biotherapy, and AI-diagnostic support systems of skin diseases.

In the past ten years, I was the leader of National Natural Science Foundation (81773327 and 81101197) and Nature Science Foundation of Shaanxi Province (2019JM-303). My team and our collaborator Prof. Faming Tian would like to clarify the pathological role of Wnt5a in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, the impact of disease progression and their molecular mechanisms by interposing the cross-talk loop of Wnt5a/beta-catenin and inflammatory signaling pathways, to provide theoretical and experimental basis for the treatment of psoriasis with Wnt5a as the target and the intervention of immune response loop.

Recently, my research also involves the construction of targeted spherical nucleic acid drugs and its mechanism in the treatment of psoriasis (in collaboration with Prof. Jin Yan major in bioengineering) led to an interest in how students learn and how we could and should reform topical drugs for the treatment of psoriasis.
