Wenjia Liu

Liu Wenjia, professor and doctoral supervisor of Xi'an Jiaotong University. She is a standing committee member of the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Branch of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, and a standing committee member of the Regenerative Medicine Transformation Group of the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Surgery Committee of the Chinese Society of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Focusing on the therapeutics of severe diseases, she has presided over 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of the Shaanxi Provincial Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and 1 key research and development plan of Shaanxi Province. In the past five years, she has published more than 20 papers as the first or corresponding author (including co-authors, 10 papers with IF>10). Won 2 first prizes of Shaanxi Science and Technology Progress Award (8/11, 9/11), the excellent doctoral dissertation in Shaanxi Province, the first China Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Outstanding Youth Research Award, and the first prize of Chinese Stomatological Association Oral Biomedical Youth Research, etc.

Professor Liu was selected into the "Young Talent Support Plan"(A) of Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2019. She constructed a research group, that focusing on the therapeutic mechanism of severe diseases and drug discovery. After conducting independent research work, she published 12 papers as corresponding authors (including co-authors, 7 papers with IF>10) in high-impact journals such as Small, Chem Eng J, and Nano Lett.

Professor Liu has applied for 16 invention patents (6 have been transferred to the company) and 2 PCT patents. In 2021, she set up Shaanxi Future Peptide Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and served as the chief scientist. Developed NajintaiTM series products with "bioactive supramolecular technology"4, which has been successfully completed in October 2021. As the first inventor of two "bioactive supramolecular self-assembly" patented technologies, she transferred them to Shaanxi Future Peptide Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and developed “nano-bandage for tooth extraction”. At present, the clinical trial process has been started.
