Jing Geng
Geng Jing, Ph.D., Professor and doctoral supervisor of Xi'an Jiaotong University. In the past five years, Prof. Geng obtained three grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the ministry of science and technology of the people´s republic of China. Especially, Prof. Geng was selected by the Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program (2018) of China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the Thousand Talents Program Youth Project (2020) by Shaanxi Province.
In recent years, he has published 10 papers as the first, co-first or corresponding author, including four papers in Nature Immunology and Nature Communications. The first-author papers published in Nature Immunology (2015, 2017) were recommended as cover story, and were specially reviewed by the Nature Review series of review journals, and were recommended and promoted by the official website of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Prof. Geng’s work has been completed to systematically expound the pathogenesis and key target molecules of infectious diseases and autoimmune diseases from the perspectives of phagocytes resisting infection, maintaining oxidative stress homeostasis, sensing environmental mechanics, and determining the differentiation and fate of TH cells. Diagnosis and treatment provide a reliable theoretical basis and entry point. Invited to write special reviews in journals such as China Science Foundation, Genetics, Chinese Journal of Cell Biology, Life Science and Cellular and Molecular Immunology. Recently, Geng’s group proposes to characterize the regulation and physiological functions of ion channels, mechanoreceptors and transporters in phagocytes of the immune system.
Prof. Geng is a project letter reviewer of the Ministry of Science and Technology, a member of the Translational Medicine Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial Anti-Cancer Association, a reviewer for journals such as Immunological Research, Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, and led the establishment of the " International Joint Research Center on Cell Stress and Disease Diagnosis and Therapy " in Xi'an. Mainly carry out multi-party cooperative research on immune stress, cancer stress and metabolic stress.
